News on the personal front:

I got to go to East Helena for the Veterans Day Parade [even took a vacation day from work :)] - and I got myself a new toy! A Creative Zen, so that now I can listen to my favorite stuff, and keep it all in my pocket! Loaded some audio books from the library - neat stuff.

Yesterday, I went to Butte and got to go to some of the big bookstores there - found out that I can really spend some money and not really notice until I reach the cash register.

Time to go - I promise to try and keep up with this more often.

And if anyone is keeping track, I voted for neither the republicans or the democrats in the presidential election. I thought they both stunk.

Got to go now, work is waiting.

Can't wait for Thanksgiving...

Onward, fellow bloggers...

Enough with the self-pity, already! Time for something deep and thought provoking.

...

um...

uh...

All right, I can't just think of these things off the top of my head. I never claimed to be the brightest bulb in the box.

Hey! I finally beat Final Fantasy VII for the first time just a couple of weeks ago (says something when I finally figure out I have to actually level everyone up to beat Sephiroth instead of just going as fast as I can through the game (I could get to that point in about 2 days of descent playing, but leveling up requires more effort).

Sarah Palin scares me. Anytime you put a fanatic in power (and to me, most born-again-Christians qualify as fanatic), you get abuses of that same power. I cannot believe McCain picked her for a running mate. I will not vote Republican for President.

Barack Obama irritates me. A Senator that consistantly refuses to accnoledge the right of the people to protect theirselves against all other (at least until police show up, and some places you can die before the police even can arrive, not will) is not worthy of higher office. I will not be voting Democratic for president this year.

I think I will vote Third Party (not sure wich one yet, just trying to send a message that I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS $#!*).

Just my view on presidential elections, folks.

Where did the summer go?

I find myself sitting wherever, thinking that I might want to tell one of my friends about something, then realizing that the ones I want to talk to most are currently in school!!! I get to be with those crazy kooks during the summer, but they all take off for college when it is over.
P, K, & J in particular are what I consider my best friends (even if they are a bit younger than me!), and I find that I miss their antics now that they are gone.

I've got to find myself something to do - I'm going nuts.

Nobody mention Cat-Griz. P, K, & J all vote for the bruin side, while I hiss back at them, sometimes with a swat towards them. I went to Bozeman for my schooling, after all.

Time is up, and I have to be going. Maybe I'll post some more tomorrow.

Hmmmph.....

Been busy for a while there... All the great summer madness has come and gone, and all went rather well. Last showing for "Dear Deer Lodge" tonight at 7 p.m., then the summer season is over. There were going to be fall productions, but nobody wanted to show up for try-out (which I have to say were probably going to be mostly procedural - if you showed, you got a part). I think the next thing I will probably be in may be a Christmas Comedy Night (mid to late December if pattern persists).

Darn it - TIME'S UP! Been messing around too much elsewhere!

Update again later.

Ee, gads!

Has it really been this long since I posted? Oh, well, I was rather sick for a while there (even took time away from Rutherford House practice to recuperate and -not- pass it on to the other players).

Ruhterford House was a great success - we sold all the tickets before the doors were open! Makes me think that we should do at least two nights the next time we do one.

Practice for the musical is coming along beautifully. I'm just waiting for my voice to come back into its usual great form. It seems to be taking forever for my cough to go away.

Lots to do - stay busy.

Flikr Toys

My creation
My creation,
originally uploaded by tinasaville.

Been playing aroung with one of my avatars - if you live in the area, you just might recognise me in my winter get-up.

Busy day yesterday - Of Thee I Sing practice at 2 p.m., and setting up the set for Rutherford House at 5. Got a bit done, though.

Finally got this to work, was a bother figuing it out, but now that it is done, it should be easy to do again. Hope to have some publicity photos up for Rutherford House soon.

Blog you later.

Podcasts...

I have been having some troubles with getting some podcasts (earphones, computer incompatabilites, unable-to-find, etc.). Finally got some to play, and am finding this to be a fair resourse. Listening to the voices of some of my favorite authors, I get a better idea of what they are like (Laurell K. Hamilton actually sounds like I imagined her to!).

Play practice is picking up, what with only 2 weeks left as of today! Hope to see many people there!

Hey! There's green grass out in the lawn! A little early, but a sure sign that Spring has sprung.

Before I Forget...

Yes, I'm in the musical (miscellaneous smaller parts that I plan to have lots of fun with).
Yes, I'm doing a short little one-act and vaudeville combo in June.
Yes, I'm in Murder at Rutherford House Dinner Theater April 12.

By the time Summer is over, I may be very tired.

And Yes, I have chosen a song (If I Said You Have A Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me). Chorus just goes so well with my part, I fell in love with it.

Blog you later.

Ooo, goody, Avatars!

Here's my pretty little picture - Hope you like it!

I have found the library challenge to be great fun and very informative - I just need to get more practice in to really be able to appreciate it.

My favorite lessons were on RSS and, yes, the Avatar. I think that I will be using the Internet even more, now that I know more about all the different, cool features.

Yes, I enjoyed this program so much I would definately do another (and in this same format, too!)

Wikis -

I am finding the wikis that I have seen to be useful and easy to understand. However, without a stricter control on content, they are not likely to be used as sources of information (and if they are the only ones to have that information, you NEED to source it).

If there was some way for a happy medum to be reached, quick updating and tighter sourcing... Well, I will keep looking at this very carefully.

Tryout for the musical Of Thee I Sing (Gershwin) on Sun, Mar 16 at 2 p.m. in the High School Music Room, Deer Lodge MT. Of course, I will try! They need my glorious soprano! If you want to try out, call 406-846-3543 and they will be glad to help you out.

Time to go - patrons at the desk needing help.

Looking at Del.icio.us...

I can see that this will be Very good once I get used to it, having my bookmarks and not being tied to one computer. Quite the idea! Just need to find places that i would like to bookmark.

The play is going well, Gretta is starting to get all the attention she deserves (and can get, for that matter). I'm really enjoying her.

Time to get to work, though. These lesson do just eat into the day.

YouTube is GOOD...

There are times that I need to figure out if a song is what I was remembering, or what I was needing... anyway, I can go find it on YouTube, and just listen for a couple of seconds - generally that is all that is needed, and I remember the whole song.

Right now, though, I have a small probem. I am looking for something cheerfully disrespectful to sing onstage (should be country, but will take anything that works) - I am currently thinking Kick-a-Little by Littel Texas, so you see what I mean. Maybe Honkytonk Bedonkydonk. If anyone has any sugestions, I'll check it out.

Time to work again, break's over.

Sometimes, I just can't seem to find the time...

For my lessons...
For memorization of my play...
For life in general.

Although I miss the color green, I am not happy at the temperatures that are currently popping up all too frequently - we need to keep the snow that we have to keep our fire season as short as possible, and the way it is going now, we are on the way to a very dry summer.

Flikr is a fascinating place; I was looking at some pictures under the subject cat yoga and can't help but smile - the poses can get so darn CUTE! I really need to get some pictures of mine to show around. He, he - kitty-cat trading cards!

Started putting my library on LibraryThing. Should be interesting when I get them all in (and it will be a long project, i have a lot of books.

Got to go do things now, can't just sit here!

Busy, Busy, Busy...

Play practice, class, dinner with friends, and a Formal Dance for last week... Play practice, class, and more practice (this time my husbands!) this week...

Makes me wonder how I can fit in the lessons for the Montana Challenge! Oh well, I can try.

Still don't have a digital camera. And no, I don't have a cell phone. Recomendations, please - I don't quite trust retailers, they may be OK, but I still feel that they may be trying to sell me something more than I need.

What is wrong with this picture?

I just tried to look for bits about past plays I have been in on Flikr, and there was NOTHING THERE! I guess no-one posts about these things. I will have to change that, as I have been in about 3 plays a year for the past 10 years (more or less). No pictures means that there has been little or no Internet Advertising, and _that_ seems like a bloody shame what with all that we do here.

Anybody out there got a recomendation for a Digital Camera that I can get for under $100? I have to live within a budget, and would really like one that will work (or be made to work).

Ugh...

Busy week, wasn't able to keep up on this like I would like.

Need to get my self a new camera - digital would be great so I could upload the pictures easily. Hope I can find one that works at a decent price.

Play practice coming along - when we can get the gang all there at the same time (sometimes scedules just don't co-operate).

Oh, well, must going along. Life never stops.

Murder at Rutherford House...

For those of you asking, Murder at Rutherford house will be a one night only dinner theater at the Pen in Deer Lodge, to be done April 12 (the Saturday before tax day). We are just getting started, so plans are still up in the air for what the dinner _is_, probably beef roast.

No, the Baroness is not the female lead. She is one of those supporting caracters that people really remember (I get to use my corny German accent, and will play the part to the hilt, trying to steal the scene - as is usual).

RSS lessons going well. I'm subscibed to about 8 accounts I like now.

Got to go, more work to do - as ever. Talk to you next week.

WHY?

Now, why am I making this blog? I was "challenged" to learn about the new technologies on the internet, and this was a part of my lessons. Needless to say, I've had a couple of small problems so far (who doesn't when trying something new?). I'm hoping to have my other lessons go even smoother.

First read-through for the play went well. We're finishing it tonight. Hope the play goes very well.

Trying Again...

I am trying to do this once again... made a log and just can't get into it (I can certainly see it, but i must have put the wrong email address on it as i was signing up).

Anyway, I am about to start a new play, I think it is called Murder at Rutherford house. For those of you who know it, I am playing the Baroness (he, he).

Politics has got me in my usual doldrums, I can't play until June (MT says so).

Otherwise, life is good, life is great. Trying to keep up the good work.
